Do you provide firewood?
No, you can purchase firewood at any local store around town including 7-11, Vons, and Stater Brothers.
Do you have a BBQ?
Yes. It is a charcoal BBQ and you must provide your own charcoal.
Do I have to pay the cleaning fee or can I clean the house myself?
Yes. We charge a cleaning fee to every guest to assure that our homes are cleaned properly for each guest.
How do I get the keys?
We do not use keys at our homes. We have an automatic door lock system by Kaba Ilco. A personal code is emailed to each guest and you punch the code into the number pad on the door and that lets you in.
Where do I check-in/check-out?
Because we are the owners of the house, we do everything by email and telephone. About 2 weeks before your arrival, you will receive an email with directions to the home, an entrance code, and a check-out checklist.
Can I have the house cleaned during my stay?
Yes, our housekeeping staff is available to clean during your stay for an additional charge.
When will I get my security deposit back?
The rental agreement states that the deposit is credited back to your credit card within 30 days after your departure.
Can I have an early check-in or late check-out?
We try to accommodate each guests schedule as much as possible. Early check-in and late check-out is possible depending on our rental schedule. Please call or email the day before your arrival for confirmation of early check-in or late check-out.
What if something is not working in the home?
Please call (800) 770-2210 to inform us of the problem if it needs immediate attention. We have local staff available in the event of an emergency maintenance issue. We will do our best to fix any problems that arise during your stay.
Is the spa working?
All spa's are cleaned after each guest and are maintained at a temperature of 102 degrees year round. If there is a problem with the spa, please contact us and we will have the spa company try to fix it as soon as possible.
What if there is a natural disaster and I can not get to Big Bear?
We will provide a full refund in the event that all 3 roads into Big Bear are closed. If there are any roads open into Big Bear, we will not refund in the event of a snow storm, fire, earthquake, etc.
Do I need chains?
We recommend carrying chains with you in the winter months. It is not recommended you rely on purchasing chains on the mountain as it can be quite expensive in the event of a storm. For chain requirements you can go to WWW.DOT.CA.GOV or call 1-800-427-ROAD.
How do I find out road conditions?
Please go to the Department of Transportation website at WWW.DOT.CA.GOV or call 1-800-427-ROAD.
Do the homes have heat?
All of our homes have heat.
Do the homes have Air Conditioning?
No, because we do not need it most of the year. In fact, most homes in Big Bear do not have air conditioning. Take advantage of the fresh mountain air and open the windows.
Can I pay cash when I arrive at the house?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment by cash on your day of arrival. We require full payment 3 weeks before you arrive in the form of Visa or Mastercard.
Are the houses pet Friendly?
All of our homes are pet friendly. We do not charge extra for pets. We ask that you pick up after your pets when you leave.
Do you provide internet?
All of our homes are equipped with the latest wireless N routers. In order to use the internet you will need to have a laptop with a wireless card. We do not have any Ethernet ports in the houses.

Are the driveways cleared if there is snow?
Yes, we have contracted with a company during the winter months to plow all of our homes driveways. They will usually come within 24 hours of a storm if there is more than 3" of snow. Please allow them to plow the driveways when they arrive.
Do you provide cable TV?
Yes, all of our homes have cable TV from Charter Communications including movie channels. If there is a special pay per view event you would like to watch during your stay, please contact us so we can accommodate you. Any costs associated with the event will be billed to the guests.
Do you provide phone service?
Yes, all of our homes are equipped with a telephone with a telephone which includes long distance service (Continental US only) free of charge.
Do you provide paper goods?
We provide the following paper goods:
2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom
1 roll of paper towels
2 trash bags in each trash can
We do not provide foil, plastic wrap, etc.
Do you provide cleaning supplies?
We provide dish soap and dishwasher soap. We do not provide any other cleaning supplies.
What is check-in and check-out time?
Check in is 3 pm and check out is 11 a.m.
How do I pay the balance of my reservation?
We will automatically charge the balance on the same card you used for the deposit 3 weeks prior to your arrival. If you wish to use a different card, please send an email indicating you want to use a different card AND call (800) 770-2210 with the new card information.
Where do I check in and get keys?
You will receive an email approximately 2 weeks before your arrival which will include directions, check out procedures to ensure return of your security deposit, and a 6 digit entrance. Simply enter the code into the number pad on the door and you will be let in.
When will I receive my security deposit back?
Your security deposit will be credited back to your credit card within 30 days of your departure. You will receive an email with a survey attached once the credit has been processed. If you do not see the credit posted to your account immediately, please contact your bank as to the status, it sometimes takes several days for banks to post.
How many cars can I park at the cabin?
